Neil Burnard is a business savvy consultant who currently sits as the Network Development Head for Continental Europe within the Expense Reduction Analysts organization. His current role has Neil servicing ERA and their European Area Development mangers across the continent of Europe.

This has allowed him to focus his consultancy business on Energy Management which has come into the corporate focus in the last few years due to escalating costs and ongoing supply issues.

Today, among other undertakings Neil Burnard is the Owner and Inventor of the Envirosave concept. He is Environmental Energy Planning certificated (ISO 14001) and works with large SMEs and corporate organisations to reduce their energy costs, carbon footprint and integrate energy management into the organization’s Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and wider business culture.

Neil looks at the bigger picture of energy management by not only looking at the practical energy management saving opportunities but by also focusing on the physiological aspects by engaging in employees behavioural attitudes towards energy management and how this is the key to really tackling UK business’ energy usage issues.

Neil understands the way employees behave and react. He has achieved this through research and years of senior management experience in commercial environments. This gives him a unique insight and a successful management style to implement effective Energy Management Plans. He understands that many plans fail, not because the right ‘tick in the box’ methods haven’t been followed,but because key users of energy haven’t been successfully engaged and educated within the process.


Neil began his successful career at Liberty Life as a Financial Representative where he soon rose the ranks to become Division Manager.

In 1983 Neil moved to Australia where he took the position of Business Development Manager at Adriatic Life. His excellence at the company earned him the award of Business Development Manager of the year. Neil continued his success in this role at Friends Provident and performed so well he received a promotion to the rank of Branch Manager, in charge of 27 staff members and 300 agents.

While employed by Friends Provident, Neil found that his knowledge of competitor clients in a technical sense could significantly improve his ability to succeed. With that in mind, he enrolled in the University of Technology in Sydney and left with a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Insurance and Superannuation Law. His degree helped him to become a valued source of knowledge regarding technical information along with sales and marketing for his network of staff and agents. His performance within his branch led him to become a State Manager, one of very few to be able to progress to the national level management.
